2009 NSTA National meeting: New Orleans, LA
Limited travel awards are available for the 2009 NSTA National meeting: RET Networking Meeting and a Poster Session/Reception. Meetings will both be held on Thursday, March 19th from 11 - 1:30 p.m. (Networking) and 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Poster Session/Reception). Both Sessions will be held at the JW Marriott in New Orleans.

Travel awards in the amount of $700 will be distributed at the meeting to those selected. To be considered for a travel award, you must apply. Session participants will be required to bring their poster and/or share lessons developed. A google group page has been created to archive handouts and/or web links to your programs.

NSF Research Experiences for Teachers Network Meeting

This informal session provides an opportunity for networking among former RET participants and program administrators representative of a variety of programs and geographic locations; provides an opportunity for sharing classroom connections, successes, and obstacles "back in the classroom"; and discusses useful professional development and other programmatic strong points.

RET programs, found at many universities throughout the country, are changing the face of science education in the United States and abroad. This session will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn about research conducted by RET participants across the country and to get information on upcoming opportunities.
